About Us

The Dance Factory provides the community with a fun and comfortable environment to explore the performing art of Dance. Our classes are offered in group settings, private, and semi private lessons. We welcome children and young adults striving to enrich their educational opportunities through dance, as well as adults and professional dancers interested in a secure place to practice their art.

Georgina

Georgina strives to create an inclusive, welcoming program for all ages to experience the performing art of dance. Being a dancer for over 24 years, she has performed in many shows and musical theater productions including the Creative Artistic Theatrical Showcase, Once on this island, and Hair. While living in Orange County, CA she founded Dance Enrichment Services, a program which brought dance education and history to local schools. Georgina has a heart for the under-served and hopes to help every student experience the benefits of a dance education. In addition to dance, Georgina has a love for music and enjoys composing on her piano. She was involved in The Sound Collective while studying at UC Irvine as well as holding an internship with Universal Music Group. Georgina is an Acrobatic Arts certified instructor, member of the Dance Studio Owners Association and proud member of the National Dance Education Organization. Georgina is the owner of The Dance Factory.

Jenel

Jenel Jansen discovered her passion for dance when she started training with Dance Direction in 1991 under the guidance of Michelle Green Clark and Lisa Clark-Schmeling. She studied Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Ballet and soon joined The Lisa Clark Dancers. Jenel began choreographing and training members of the Lisa Clark Dancers for over 15 years. She co-produced and assisted Lisa Clark on a variety of company projects including when The Lisa Clark Dancers were part of the Top 48 in America’s Got Talent and hired to perform at The National Retail Convention. Jenel has continued to teach and choreograph for local dance companies such as Napa High Spiritleaders, Expressions, and Napa Valley Ballet Academy. Jenel Jansen earned a B.A. in Economics from San Diego State University in 2003 where she also studied dance history, choreography, and improvisation. She received her M.A. in Education from UC Davis in 2006 and is currently an elementary teacher for the Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District. Jenel strongly believes in the importance of allowing all children opportunities to express themselves and believes that dance is the perfect tool for this. Her mission as a dance instructor is to ensure that her students feel empowered to reach their full potential in dance and know they can accomplish anything they desire in and out of the studio.

Ader

Adér Shennan is trained in Hip Hop and Contemporary. She teaches an intermediate-advanced competition team and has experience teaching children from 3-12 years old. She has traveled throughout California for competitions and received top awards with her Dance Company. Dance has been a passion for her throughout her life and she has been inspired as an artist to pass the love for dance to others.

Tina

Tina found her love of dance at a very young age. She began her formal ballet training in her mom’s studio at the age of three. As a young child, she spent her summers in New York City performing with Jackie Gleason. She also studied ballet, tap and acrobatics at the June Taylor Dance Studio. Upon moving to California, she continued her studies with her mom at Stamps School of Classical Ballet in Albany while attending summer courses at San Francisco Ballet School. She’s had the privilege of taking classes with accomplished teachers and dancers including Harold Christensen, Roberta Meyer, Sally Streets, Tilly Abbe and Carmalita Maracci, among others. She began teaching at the age of fifteen in her mom’s dance studio and found her passion. Upon her mom’s retirement, she took over the responsibility as owner and artistic director of Stamps School of Classical Ballet. As artistic director, she taught classes in classical ballet, tap, acrobatics and many other forms of dance for 21 years. She resumed her career at Susie Harper School of Dance as ballet director for 20 years while guest teaching locally.
